Description
The 4-semester “Master of Arts in History” program begins in the winter and summer semester at the Osnabrueck University. The curriculum is based on the study of text, picture, sound, and material sources in the transmission of historical epochs from antiquity to the present. Space and the notion of "Europe" in its worldwide interdependencies, centres and peripheries, boundaries and delimitations are the focus of the research projects and activities in this specialised Master's program. For this course, candidates will examine the continuity and discontinuity in Europe's past in order to better understand today's environment, and they will increase their understanding of how today's world is shaped by the past. Upon completion of the course, students will be prepared for a scientific career with the option of obtaining a doctorate, as well as for activities outside of the institution in the fields of science administration, archives and libraries, tourism, and management consulting.
