Osnabrueck University offers the degree program “History – Teaching at Grammar Schools”, which is taught in the German language. Historical studies divide time into ancient, mediaeval, early modern, and modern periods. In the degree, Ancient History, Middle Ages History, and Early Modern History are all included. There is also a sub-area of peace and conflict study. Winter semester is when the academic year begins. Candidates must produce confirmation of their Latinum and knowledge of a more recent foreign language while applying. After the completion of their studies graduates can work as a teacher at grammar schools.
