After the completion of 6 semesters candidates are awarded the “Bachelor of Arts in Islamic Theology” at the Osnabrueck University, which commences with the winter semester. Students are enabled to take on leadership roles in mosque communities as theological, religious, and parish pedagogical experts. Additionally, the successful degree gives chances to pursue careers in the sectors of social and humanitarian work as well as science, politics, and business. In addition to classical Arabic and interreligious skills, comparative studies and historical and contemporary Islam in Germany and Europe are taught. After the completion of their studies students can join a Master of Arts degree in Islamic Theology.
