Osnabrueck University offers the degree program “Master of Science in Mathematics” for a duration of 4 semesters in the German and English language. Graduate students in mathematics move from a mathematical sub-area to current research topics through a Master's degree program in Mathematics. Meanwhile, fundamental mathematics knowledge from the Bachelor's degree is complemented with new information and skills. For this reason, learning an application subject is also a component of the program, which commences in the winter and summer semester. After completing a one-year teaching program, students complete a two-year study project and a master's thesis. As an application subject, students can choose from applied systems science, business administration, computer science, physics, or economics. Many disciplines of science, technology, and economics are becoming more mathematically oriented in order to formulate and represent their content more precisely, as well as in order to solve issues.
