University of Osnabrueck's degree program “Music – Teaching at Grammar Schools” provides a wide and practical music education. The course of studies starts in the winter semester, and classes take place in German language. Musical theory and creative practice are equally represented in the course. In addition to the primary instrumental courses, the practical skills in school piano playing and singing classes should be strengthened. Students participate in a variety of bands, orchestras, and choirs as part of their studies. A bachelor's degree and a master's degree are the first two phases of the program.
