Description
Osnabrueck University offers the degree program “Bachelor of Science in Physics” in German and English language for 6 semesters. The objective of this degree is to record quantitative correlations in nature, to comprehend its fundamental rules, and to make the resulting phenomena useful. A few essential concepts such as Newton's equations of motion, the Schrödinger equation, the principle of maximum entropy and the theory of relativity are taught in-depth during the course of study. Additionally, biophysics, physical chemistry, and nanostructured matter are covered, as well as the conventional concentration on solid-state physics, optics, surface physics, computational physic and theoretical physics. Students and researchers at Osnabrück have a strong relationship and if candidates are interested in working in a research group, they can do so as early as their first year of study. As a major, core, and minor subject, physics must be combined with another subject to be taken as a whole. Physicists can pursue careers in universities, big research institutes and in the private sector.
