Osnabrueck University offers the degree program “Protestant Religion – Teaching at Primary Schools” in the German language. The academic calendar begins with the winter semester. Topics such as Reformation and the theology of the Reformers are the main focus of this degree. Study of other faiths (Judaism, Islam), interaction with Catholic Theology, as well as religious-pedagogical as well as disciplinary problems are also part of the curriculum. The curriculum is organized in stages and studies begin with the Bachelor’s degree followed by a Master’s degree. After the completion of their studies graduates can take up a teaching position in primary schools.
