For a duration of 3 years students can enrol in the degree program “Bachelor of Science in Psychology”, which begins in the winter semester at the Osnabrueck University. The psychology degree is the initial step in obtaining a professional credential. There is substantial systematic training, instruction in basic areas such as perception and memory processes, learning and emotions in addition to the biopsychological foundations of human behaviour and experience throughout the course of the program. Other topics covered include personality and development in different cultures, as well as the group's behaviour/attitudes. The bachelor's degree also teaches diagnostic procedures and disorder theory, as well as the fundamentals of educational psychology and industrial and organisational psychology, among other topics of study. With the bachelor's degree, students will be prepared to pursue a master's degree in clinical psychology and psychotherapy, as well as to perform routine psychological tasks, such as in the fields of clinical diagnosis, professional aptitude diagnostics, the design of work equipment/activities and their organisational structure, and psychological health interventions.
