Osnabrueck University offers the six-semester Bachelor's degree “Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences”. Classes take place in the German and partly English language, and the academic year starts with the winter semester. The study course focuses on social issues and human cohabitation, from the smallest relationships to large systems. It integrates political science and sociology with varying emphasis in two focus versions that students can choose from after enrolling. As part of the core curriculum, students will study political theory, state and internal politics, international politics, comparative politics and European governance. Each subject-specific curriculum from the other discipline is included in the supplemental minor. Graduates can work in national and international NGOs, as well as a journalist, or in market and opinion research.
