The Master's degree course “Master of Arts in Sociology: Dynamics of Social Change” is provided at the Osnabrueck University. It has a normal duration of 4 semesters and is taught in both German and English, with the academic calendar beginning in the winter and summer semester. In the first two semesters, a scientifically solid core curriculum provides the basis for this course. There is an emphasis on social differentiation structures, their replication or change, capitalism variations and welfare state regimes, as well as an examination of social work's organizational structure, in the modules that are offered. In the second year of study, students can broaden their interests by taking elective courses in political science, European studies, and migration. Graduates of this degree are qualified to work in universities, other scientific or science-related institutions, as well as in the private industry.
