The degree program “Physical Education – Teaching at Primary Schools” can be undertaken at the Osnabrueck University for 6 and 4 semesters respectively, with the academic calendar beginning in winter. Classes are held in German language and the course is organized in stages. The focus of training is on school sport, physical education, health promotion, and sport as preventive, as well as sport administration and sport development, among other things. Interdisciplinarity requires the study of two disciplines in conjunction with one another. It is possible to enter the preparatory service with a Master of Education in Elementary Education, and then work as a teacher after the completion of studies.
