The program “Bachelor of Science in Safety and Hazard Defence” at the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg has a length of six semesters. It is carried out in cooperation with the Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences. The training aims to provide students with the expertise to deal with disaster situations. Students gain skills in fire safety, disaster management and civil defence, environmental protection, emission control, water pollution control, safety management and other fields. Graduates find employment opportunities in safety management and hazard defence in industry and at the fire service.
