The four-semester, full-time study program “Master of Music in Elementary Music Education” is offered at PH Freiburg University of Education, with the possibility to be also completed in eight semesters part-time. The course is in cooperation with the University of Music Freiburg. Participants will gain in-depth knowledge of the teaching process, focusing on music education, and how to work with both children and adults. It is practice-oriented, and some of the main subjects includes Vocal Specialization, Sociology, Inclusion and Heterogeneity, Education in the Migration Society, as well as different practical tasks for improving students’ professional skills. Graduates of the program will be qualified for work as elementary music teachers at music schools, kindergartens and elementary schools, as well as for adult education at universities.
