Social Work degree programs focus on studying communities, groups, families and individuals and working towards establishing a better functioning social environment, and solving social issues. Getting a hands-on experience is encouraged through service learning and practical work, in order to gain professional experience and develop skills valued highly in the field of Social Work, like organizing, analytical thinking, problem solving, multitasking, empathy, a strong sense of justice and motivation to help people and defend human rights. Social Work graduates can expect to find work in a number of fields – schools, hospitals, mental health agencies, administration, childcare, criminal justice, immigrant and refugee work, counseling, adoption, foster care, medical healthcare, community care, youth justice and many more.

For this program, a general higher education entrance or entrance qualification for a university of applied sciences is needed. Completed Vocational Training including 3 years of Working Experience instead of academic entrance. Knowledge of German Language is also provided.
