“Bachelor of Arts in Childhood Education” is offered by Protestant University of Applied Sciences Dresden with a total duration of eight semesters. The interdisciplinary, practical and research-oriented course is primarily focused towards the observation, documentation and analysis of child development and educational processes of children between the ages of zero and ten in day-care centers and schools. After successfully completing the bachelor degree, the graduates have a wide variety of career options for instance in day-care centers, work with individual children and groups of children, cooperation with parents and families, team leaders, in all-day schools, home education or in science and research.
