Provided by the Protestant University of Applied Sciences Dresden the “Bachelor of Arts in Childhood Education – Leadership and Management” is with a total duration of five semesters. The course is targeting professionally experienced specialists who have completed training as a state-approved educator or state-approved curative educator and want to further qualify at an academic level. By providing both basic and in-depth knowledge and skills in the field of childhood education especially for childhood educational and social science-based work in institutional contexts with children, the focus of the course is primarily on leadership. The prospective students obtain specific knowledge and skills of management, organizational development as well as personnel management and management of institutions in the field of childhood education. Graduates of the course will be able to analyze, plan, implement and evaluate both pedagogical action as well as leadership and management actions in a scientifically sound and practice-related manner.
