Offered by the Protestant University of Applied Sciences Dresden the degree program “Bachelor of Science in Nursing” is with a duration of seven semesters. The full-time study course enables the participants to practice clinical skills such as measuring blood pressure, treating wounds or monitoring blood sugar while also acquiring communicative and social skills for professional information, advice and guidance for patients and their relatives in order to be able to take on highly complex nursing processes. The course content includes subjects such as people care, nursing topics, anthropology, nursing research, self-determination in the event of a disability, mental health and more. Students learn how to deal with digital applications and modern technologies in health care and will be able to work in all areas of care, hospitals, care for the elderly or outpatient services.
