The eight-semester full-time study course “Bachelor of Arts in Protestant Religious and Congregational Education” is offered by Protestant University of Applied Sciences Dresden. The course is offered in two profiles, the "Social Work" profile and the "Music" profile and qualifies the students for educational work with various groups in the church, giving religious instruction as a church teacher and for educational work in the church youth association or the Protestant youth in Saxony. During the course, the participants study music in a religious-cultural context, choir work, pedagogy and theology and explore the theories and principles of youth education work, music in the community, instrumental and singing lessons as well as choir direction.
