The full-time degree program “Bachelor of Arts in Social Work” is offered by Protestant University of Applied Sciences Dresden with a total duration of six semesters. Accredited by the AHPGS, the course is focused on providing to the participants communicative, reflective, theoretical and methodological skills. The prospective students acquire knowledge in forms and methods of social work, integrative case understanding and intervention, social and human sciences basics, anthropology, ethical judgment, human and fundamental rights while exploring in-depth the medicine, psychology, justice, politics, administration, theology and sociology. Graduates of the “Bachelor of Arts in Social Work” will be able to specialize in day care centers, schools or leisure facilities, home education, social work in administration, in districts with special problems and more.
