The eight-semester “Bachelor of Arts in Social Work” is provided by Protestant University of Applied Sciences Dresden. Geared towards social workers who seek to develop their professional skills, the part-time course explores in-depth social work theories, social science knowledge of the systems, social security and social services, human scientific knowledge, basics of empirical research methods. The participants gain strong competence to manage social facilities, practice documentation skills and develop their communicative and professional skills for working and counseling by and with individuals, families, groups and communities. The “Bachelor of Arts in Social Work” course is accredited by the AHPGS.
