The “Master of Arts in Musicology” program at Rostock University of Music and Theatre has a length of 4 semesters. This full-time program imparts musicological research skills and helps students develop their competences. Historical musicology, Ethnomusicology, Medial communication of music, Specialist history and other subjects are part of the course curriculum. In order to apply, candidates must present a completed Bachelor’s degree, an Aptitude test and a German-language certificate. After completing the course, graduates are able to pursue careers in the fields of academic research, teaching, music journalism, publishing and more.
