The four-semester full-time study program “Master of Science in Applied Geosciences’’ offered by RWTH Aachen University provides a combination of engineering geology and hydrogeology studies with a strong focus on geophysics. Students who enrol in this study program will receive a more intense training, acquire excellent skills, and in-depth knowledge about the construction, dynamics and the chemistry of Earth. The study program in Applied Geosciences offers a blend of different subjects such as geology, geochemistry mineralogy, crystallography, and geophysics. Furthermore, students will be able to choose from a variety of specialization elective courses in Geoengineering, Energy and Mineral Resources, and Applied Mineralogy and Crystallography. Since the program is mainly application-oriented the career prospects for graduates with a degree in Applied Geosciences are very good and diverse.
