RWTH Aachen University offers the three-semester full-time course of studies “Master of Science in Automotive Engineering and Transport’’. The goal of this degree program is to prepare students who want to become mechanical engineers and want to seek professional development in all technical fields within the industry of research, development, production and distribution. With its scientific and research-oriented nature this program is ideal for those who want to explore the fundamental concepts and methods of automotive engineering. During the first two semesters of their studies, students will be required to complete all mandatory and elective modules. Furthermore, students will be able to choose one of three specializations: Road Vehicle Engineering, Rail Vehicle Engineering, and Material Handling Technology. In the final and third semester, however, participants will have to work on a defined research projects independently and complete a Master’s thesis.
