“Master of Science in Chemical Engineering’’ is the oldest Master of Science course offered at RWTH Aachen University. The three-semester degree program aims to train mechanical engineers in becoming successful professionals who can seek employment within all technical fields. With its research-oriented character, this program is designed to teach the basic principles and methods of chemical engineering and chemical change. Students that enrol in this program should expect to learn how to transform base materials into other materials through chemical, physical, and biological processes. The degree content for this discipline comprises of mandatory and elective modules that are taken in the first two semesters. The final semester is dedicated to the development of a research topic and the writing of a Master thesis.
