The four-semester full-time course of studies ‘’Master of Science in Chemistry’’ offered by RWTH Aachen University is geared towards students who wish to gain a broader knowledge within the sphere of chemistry. This is achieved through the nature of the program that overlaps chemistry with physics and the life sciences. Participants will be able to choose two out of four concentrations: Bioactive compounds and synthetic methods, Catalysis, Materials and mesoscopic systems, and Computer chemistry and spectroscopy. Aside from the lectures and seminars, students will be also required to attend a research internship in a working group on a particular research topic. By enrolling in this study program, students will have the opportunity to receive specialized chemistry knowledge not only in theory but also in practice, which in turn is a great prerequisite for widespread career opportunities at a later stage within the chemical industry or other branches.
