During the Master’s degree “Master of Science in Computer Science”, students will receive an English-language education, as well as international approach and practical projects. The main purpose of this course is to offers the students a research-oriented degree, based on a broad and in-depth specialist knowledge in selected sub-areas, as well as analytical, creative and constructive skills for the new and further development of software and hardware systems. This Master’s degree enables the students to carry out a doctorate, or complex industrial or freelance tasks in the fields of research. The graduates will have variety of career options within manufacturer companies, software houses and research institutions, as well as in automatic information processing in administration and business, and sale of products in the computer industry. The entry requirements include a university degree with at least the examination grade “good” (2.5) in the bachelor's degree in computer science at the University of Bayreuth or in the bachelor's degree in applied computer science, as well as language skills: English: IELTS Academic minimum score 6.5 or TOEFL minimum score 88 or an equivalent certificate and German on level A1.
