The six-semester degree program “Bachelor of Arts in English, Gymnasium and Gesamtschule Teacher’’ is a full-time course offered by RWTH Aachen University. Taught in English and German, this course is focused towards prospective students who want to become teachers in secondary and comprehensive schools. The main subjects that this discipline explores are linguistics and literary studies. In addition, students will also learn about Cultural studies and English pedagogy. The degree content for this course of studies features six modules of which three are meant to introduce students to the basics of linguistics, literary studies, and language practice. The other three modules are offering more advanced knowledge in example areas.
