The six-semester degree course ‘’Bachelor of Arts in History’’ is a full-time study program offered by RWTH Aachen University. This study program is aimed towards prospective students who wish to become historians. With a curriculum covering a range of historical eras ranging from Antiquity to Contemporary History, this degree course differs from other study programs where the focus falls rather on certain ages. In addition, students who enroll in this course will explore and use as reference original documents. This way participants will learn how to decode and analyze texts, images, or artifacts with the appropriate scientific methodology. Further in their studies, participants will be able to specialize in specific ages or engage in comparative studies of individuals ages. Graduates from this course will become historians that could seek employment in political foundations, museums, memorials, archives, research companies, and other similar fields.
