The “Master of Arts in Literary and Linguistic Studies’’ degree program offered by RWTH Aachen University if a full-time course of studies with a duration of four semesters. This program is designed to continue the training from the Bachelor’s course of the same name and prepare students for modern disciplinarily linked research. Furthermore, the Master’s curriculum is designed in such a way to provide exceptional freedom to students so they can shape their studies in an ideal way. This is achieved through specifically designed transdisciplinary modules that focus on Europe in the World, Cognition and Digital Humanities, and Theories and Methods. Students can choose two of these three modules and one of the four specialization areas: English and American Studies, German and General Literary Studies, French, or Spanish. Last but not least, they can select two of five subject perspectives choosing from History, Independent Study, Computer Science, Philosophy, and Sociology.
