RWTH Aachen University offers the six-semester degree course “Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Technology, Vocational School Teacher”. Students can enroll in this study program only if it is in combination with Machine Technology Vocational School Teacher course. Throughout their studies, participants will learn the fundamentals in Engineering, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Systems Sciences, and Manufacturing Technology. Furthermore, building up on this knowledge, students will be able to intensify their studies by choosing an additional specialized subject such as Laser Application, Process Analysis in Manufacturing Engineering, Introduction to Optical Systems for Production, Coating Technology, or others. As this program is aimed at students who want to become vocational school teachers, the degree content will also include training in didactics, orientation internship at a school, and a career field internship that can be recognized as co-op.
