The “Bachelor of Science in Materials Engineering’’ degree program is offered at RWTH Aachen University. This is a full-time course of study with a duration of six semesters. Prospective students that enrol in this program should expect to acquire knowledge in the field of material design, learn about the manufacturing of materials, as well as the new processing techniques used for new materials. Furthermore, this program also offers high-tech research that is primarily held in highly specialized labs where engineering students can conduct various experiments. In order for students to fully acquire the breadth of this discipline, this program does not offer any further specialization. However, the corresponding Master’s course of study does offer а wide variety of specializations. Some of the modules featured in the curriculum include Linear Algebra, Technical Mechanics, Physical Chemistry, Machine Components, Business Administration, and others. The program also offers a practical component that includes an internship, as well as exercises conducted in small groups.
