The four-semester degree program “Master of Education in Mathematics, Vocational School Teacher” is offered by RWTH Aachen University. This is a four-semester course of study geared towards students who wish to advance their knowledge and skills in teaching at vocational schools. As in the Bachelor’s degree of the same name, the combination possibilities for students here are the same. The curriculum might vary depending on the start of the studies, whether it is in the winter or summer semester. In both cases participants will take a mandatory course in Applied Statistics and an elective course that can be chosen between Computer Algebra, Complex Analysis, Ordinary Differential Equations, Optimization A, and Optimization B. In addition to the theoretical training students will also take a practical semester. The latter includes work in a school as well as seminars on diagnosis, support, and evaluation.
