The “Master of Education in Physics, Gymnasium and Gesamtschule Teacher’’ degree program offered at RWTH Aachen University is aimed at preparing undergraduates for the second training period for physics teachers in comprehensive and secondary schools. This is a full-time course of study with a duration of four semesters. By enrolling in this program, students will be required to take two teacher training subjects. The combination possibilities for the latter are exactly the same as those offered in the Bachelor program of the same name. In addition to these subjects, the course also includes other elements such as educational studies and a practical semester. Throughout their studies, participants will learn how to plan, design and present physics lessons. Aside from the subject-didactic studies and practical school studies, students will also take technical studies that will expand their technical knowledge in physics and thus allow them to incorporate new topics in lessons.
