RWTH Aachen University offers the degree program “Master of Education in Physics, Vocational School Teacher”. This course of study is specifically designed for students who wish to advance their knowledge in teaching and pursue a professional career as physics teachers particularly in vocational schools. The curriculum of this program requires participants to study two teacher training subjects. In addition, the course features also other elements such as educational studies and a practical semester. During the first two semesters, participants will explore their currently acquired knowledge in the Bachelor course of study in order to prepare themselves for a practical semester. The latter requires students to work on a smaller subject-didactic research project. Further in their education, participants will learn how to use various teaching media and plan experiments into lessons.
