The medicine and philosophy faculties at RWTH Aachen University offer the “Master of Science in Teaching and Research Logopedics”. This four-semester course is designed for graduates who wish to practice academic speech therapy at higher education institutions or perform their own research in diagnostics and therapy. This is why, the focus of this degree course falls primarily on therapy research and instruction and learning research. Furthermore, students will learn how to critically assess research statues and use them in their own therapeutic experiments. Participants will get practical experience from teaching their own classes at technical school and Bachelor’s degree programs at RWTH Aachen University. With their Master’s thesis, students will be able to demonstrate how they can work independently on a scientific topic. Graduates with a Master’s degree in this discipline will be able to find employment in universities, research institutions, as well as various job roles that revolve around management, supervision, and coordination tasks in the clinical sector.
