The study course “Bachelor of Arts in Ancient Civilization Studies” is provided by the Saarland University. The subject of the program is text and image sources, archaeological finds as well as methods and theories of the classical disciplines and deals with the political, cultural, mental and economic history of Greece and Rome. The program consists of broad range of courses that provide insights into the life of ancient society, mythology, of belief in gods and cultural practice. In addition to the compulsory and elective modules, students are able to gain their first experience in museum work, monument preservation and excavation in subject-specific internships.
