Description
The program “Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Visual Culture” is provided by the Saarland University. It provides interdisciplinary strong comprehension in the systematic analysis of visual artifacts such as images, objects, buildings while the prospective students are able to gain methodological knowledge from the subjects of art history and classical archeology, professional experience in the areas of media competence, museum studies, art trade and monument preservation during the practice-oriented modules. By obtaining the ability to think in an interdisciplinary manner, to connect between different areas of knowledge and to analyze different cultures the participants analyze in-depth the themes, artistic forms of design and image ideas in the history of art along with the basic terms and methods of art history, classical archeology, historical anthropology and visual science perspectives.
