Description
With four semesters total duration the program “Master of Arts in Art History” is provided by the Saarland University. The course explores the fields of painting, drawing, sculpture, architecture and applied arts from the Middle Ages while focusing particularly on photography, film and new media art. Throughout the program, the students obtain strong introduction to art criticism and take part in excursions where they learn how to handle original artifacts. “Master of Arts in Art History” consists of lectures, advanced seminars, exercises and project work on topics such as world art, art criticism, art theory and methodology.
