With a total length of ten semesters the program “Engineering for Vocational Schools (Teacher Training)” is provided by the Saarland University. Students obtain the engineering basics in lectures with exercises from the areas of statics, basics of electrical engineering, measurement technology and sensor technology, as well as programming for engineers along with attending events such as English for engineers and scientists, communication and social skills, occupational health and safety, patent and innovation management. By including also includes didactic lectures, seminars and school internships the course imparts the theory and practice of teaching.
