Offered by the Saarland University the “Bachelor of Arts in European Literatures and Media in a Global Context” is with six semesters standard period of study. The bachelor degree program is targeting students that understand literature, film, plays and other works of art. By focusing on the most diverse forms of cultural exchange in Europe and the countries where traces of European languages, literatures and cultures can be found the course also explores the aspect of mutual exchange and comparison. The course imparts a wide range of literary and media literacy and skills in analyzing, commenting on and interpreting aesthetic works while during their study, the participants learn to recognize works of art in their cultural and media context, to bring them precisely to the point and to successfully question them.
