Offered by the Saarland University the program “Bachelor of Arts in European Studies: Geographies of Europe” is with a total length of six semesters. During their study, students obtain subject-specific knowledge in the field of geography while the course provides an overview of European issues. Throughout the interdisciplinary core area, the participants are able to learn more about development processes, current trends and perspectives on Europe along with both historical knowledge and knowledge of current developments in the field of history, geography, politics, language, law, literature and media. The focus of the course falls on a wide range of political, economic and social aspects in European Union with important aspects from geography and scientific disciplines while the prospective students become aware with methodological approaches used in social research and with digital geographic information systems.
