Description
Offered by the Saarland University the course “Master of Art in General and Comparative Literature Studies” is with a total length of four semesters. Students explore, analyze texts and other cultural artifacts and by contextualizing them within broader categories, graduates are able learn how to transcend temporal, linguistic, geographical, cultural and media boundaries. During the course, participants also compare and contrast literatures, cultures and a variety of media and become familiar with literary and aesthetic issues from both a historical perspective and a contemporary standpoint. The graduates of the master degree will be able to specialize in the media sector, in cultural and arts organizations, in publishing, in press and public relations as well as in positions such as academia, politics, business and commerce or in the adult education sector.
