With six semesters standard period of study the degree program “Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Studies in Historical Perspective” is provided by the Saarland University. The both interdisciplinary and application-oriented course of study imparts basic methodological and content-related knowledge with focus on the consideration of cultural-scientific problems from various professional perspectives. During the program, the participants explore the historical, philosophical, music and art studies, geographical, theological, archaeological as well as linguistic and literary disciplines. The course provides an introduction to activities in modern culture and media such as in editorial offices of the press, radio, television and online media, public and private cultural management, public relations, marketing and advertising, event and leisure management, archives, libraries and publishing, in cultural tourism and more.
