The study course “Master of Arts in History” provided by the Saarland University is with a total length of four semesters. During the master program, students deepen their knowledge of history and to develop a better understanding of the methods and techniques of historical inquiry. The content of the modules includes topics of current interest in historical research and enables the participants to develop the skills needed for independent academic study during special modules, cross-border projects, practical training and work placements. “Master of Arts in History” covers the three main periods ancient history, the Middle Ages and the history of the modern age, as well as two major applied fields of economic, social history, cultural and media history.
