The program “Master of Arts in Latin American Cultural and Media Studies” is offered by the Saarland University with duration of four semesters. With a strong focus on cultural and media studies the program provides language practice in Spanish and Portuguese including literary, cultural and media studies with central fields of Latin American cultural theory, trauma and memory research, colonial, Latin American theater and film. During the study, the participants have the opportunity to participate in research projects in the field while during the main subject they complete a stay abroad in a Spanish or Portuguese-speaking country.
