The double-degree program “Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Mechanical Engineering ATLANTIS” is provided by the Saarland University with total duration of eight semesters. The participants obtain basics in the engineering and natural science core subjects of mechanics, material properties and thermodynamics including knowledge of mathematics, chemistry and physics. During the program, students explore the relationships between structures, properties and treatment, technology of metals, polymers, glass and ceramics with both theory and practice of integrating the material into the production process. The bachelor degree also includes an internship of at least six weeks of basic practice and six weeks of specialist practice where students will be able to expand and master their experience.
