The six-semester program “Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Medicine and Dietetics” is provided by the Saarland University. It builds on the skills already acquired in the professional training to become and expands them in particular in the fields of applied nutritional medicine and dietetics. The focus of the course falls on obesity and eating disorders, internal and pediatric diseases, congenital metabolic diseases, as well as nutrition and the associated nutritional support while the students also study pharmacology, nutritional medicine and professional ethics. “Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Medicine and Dietetics” also explores the areas of health sciences, business administration, occupational, environmental, social and preventive medicine.
