The program “Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy” is offered by the Saarland University with six semesters standard period of study. The content of the program falls on the areas of philosophy of language such as logic, philosophy of spirit, anthropology, epistemology, philosophy of science, ethics and the history of philosophy. Graduates are able to obtain comprehension in systematic and historical philosophical basic questions and basic problems as well as attempted answers and solution approaches while the course aims to develop core analytical skills, argumentative competence and the ability to proceed methodically as well as the development of a specific competence profile for instance in ethical and socio-critical competence, Information competence, hermeneutic competence or philological-historical competence.
