The teacher training program “Primary School Subjects” is provided by the Saarland University with a standard period of study of eight semesters. It qualifies for entry into preparatory service in primary school and includes the subjects of primary level, a profile subject, educational sciences and scientific work and enables participants to develop competencies in order to understand and assess empirical findings from teaching and learning research, relevant social and developmental psychological theories, measures for teaching development, teaching design or educational diagnostic methods and performance measurement.
