“Master of Arts in Romance Languages and Literatures (French/Italian/Spanish)” is provided by the Saarland University with a total length of four semesters. During their study, students obtain abilities in history, theory and analysis of Romance languages, literatures, cultures and media. The master degree explores the philological research into the Romance languages, literatures, teaching and research in linguistic, literary and cultural studies as well as history of knowledge and language policy. Graduates gain competence in the aesthetic and ethical aspects of the media and cultural upheavals in globalization, post-colonial issues, the multilingualism and diversity of European and European non-European societies, the reorientation of European world relations and more.
